All our services at Trinity are special because, as we gather around Word and Sacrament, God is present in our midst and our lives are renewed. Yet throughout the year there are special occasions and celebrations that we observe together. Of course, the festivals and seasons of the church year — Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost and Thanksgiving, are marked by special times of worship and praise. Additionally, there are commemorations and worship events throughout the year that recognize God’s goodness in our lives.
Late Summer 2018
In August, our sermons will explore the blessings of koinonia — Christian community, and each week worshipers will be given the opportunity to help build a visual representation of that community. Our liturgy will be drawn from the world music of the church, particularly Caribbean and Latin American music. Our children and their families have made shakers to use as rhythm instruments.
Our annual church picnic is Sunday, August 26 with worship at Colony Park, Spring Township beginning at 11:15. A picnic lunch will follow with a potluck meal and meat and drinks provided by the Fellowship Committee. A 9:30 service will be offered in the Nave for those unable to come to the park.
We kick off a new program year on September 9 with special worship and a Ministry Fair and brunch.
Return to 2 Service Schedule
We return to 8:30 worship for hearing and deaf in the chapel and 11:00 festival worship in the Nave on Sunday, September 16.
Common Ground Recovery worship continues to meet at 4:00 PM each Sunday in the Auditorium. This meaningful service of Word, Sacrament, Meal and healing conversation is open to the entire community, including all members of Trinity. Experience God’s grace in a new way through Common Ground.
