We just put together a list of volunteers that have helped work on the first floor renovation project. It is a very long list! I continue to be amazed by the number of people who came out to help us get this project done.
By the time you read this article, we should be finished with the Welcome Center and the All Saints Room and we will be officially dedicating both spaces on November 3rd. The family bathroom in the Welcome Center should also be done by then. We still have a few parts of the project that will have to be finished after the dedication, but our two largest spaces will be done.
We will be thanking a lot of people on the day of the dedication, but I also want to make sure to thank some people in this article. Thank you to the congregation of Trinity for having the vision to make this project a reality and for being extremely patient! Thank you to our County Commissioners, who helped us fund a large portion of the project. Thank you to outside groups like Habitat for Humanity, who gave us many hours of labor. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped, especially the regular Tuesday night and Saturday crews.
If I didn’t say it enough in other articles, it is so satisfying to see the All Saints Room being used by Trinity’s Sunday Forum, Common Ground Recovery Community and the Literacy Council.
I can’t wait to see both spaces used for so many more events and programs!
As a funny side note, all of us “regulars” can’t wait to throw away our beaten up gloves, knee pads and work clothes!
God’s Work, Our Hands? I’ll say!
