Holy Baptism is the sacrament that begins our journey as a member of God’s family, helping us to grow in grace and assuring us of eternal life.
Through water and God’s word of promise, we are united to Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, promising that “we will certainly be united with Him in a resurrection like His”.
God claims the baptized person as one of God’s children and promises to never forsake that person. This makes the newly-baptized person a member of the Church. At Trinity, we offer faith formation for all ages (LINK) to help all the baptized better understand who God is and how we can respond to God’s gift of forgiveness and new life through worship, volunteering, and service.
Baptism is appropriate at any age, but done just once in a lifetime. If you have already been baptized, but are looking to join our congregation, you would join by publicly affirming your faith during a Sunday worship service.
If you are interested in baptism for yourself or your child, please contact Pastor Hans Becklin at pastor@trinityreading.org
