Youth at Trinity are active and engaged. You will see them leading and supporting worship serving as acolytes, ushers, lectors, camera operators, altar guild members, musicians, and more.

Sunday School at Trinity provides a time for children and youth to experience the love of God in Jesus through learning about Bible Stories, worship, and music.

We currently use the Whirl Lectionary curriculum which connects their learning to Sunday worship, where children are welcome and encouraged to participate in all aspects of worship.

Younger children meet with volunteer teachers and helpers in classroom #4 and Youth (grades 7-12) meet with Deaconess Deborah in classroom #3.

We connect with local Lutheran youth ministry through service projects, overnights and lock-ins, and summer service camps.

ChAOS is a fluid educational program, offering youth (typically grades 7-9)  the opportunity to grow in faith and make connections in Christian community.

Catechism And Other Stuff = ChAOS

It’s a place where youth are encouraged to ask the hard questions and to increase awareness of God with them all the time (not just on Sunday mornings.)

Youth meet for retreats at various times through the year, studying the Bible and exploring Luther’s Small Catechism.

Youth are encouraged to volunteer for various roles in Sunday Worship and participate in service projects throughout the year.

At the completion of the program, youth affirm their baptisms in the rite of confirmation, as they continue in the covenant God made with them and make their own promises to :

  • Live among God’s faithful people

  • Hear the word of God and share in the Lord’s Supper

  • Proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed

  • Serve all people following the example of Jesus

  • Strive for justice and peace in all the earth
