What's up in the ELCA?

Join us for a recap of the Phoenix ELCA Churchwide Assembly: elections of our new Presiding Bishop and Secretary, the adoption of church Social Statements on "Faith and Civic Life" and edits to our previous statement on "Human Sexuality", ecumenical and inter-religious presentations, and more.  Pr. Opalinski was a visitor to the assembly and is happy to provide this 'show and tell.'

Fall Festival presents
Dogs in Space

Sunday, October 19 at 12:00 PM

FFA is thrilled to bring back Tuckers' Tales Puppet Theater. This Philadelphia based group has been entertaining the region since 1981. This season's selection, Dogs In Space, is fun for the whole family. In the race to explore the universe (and find the best sunny places to sleep) can the dogs get there before the cats? A dramatic tale of adventure, science and dogged determination told with the magic of shadow puppets. Dogs in Space is a dog-gone fun way to travel to space.

Ceiling Project Underway!

The work has begun as you can see from all the plastic in the Sanctuary. This week they set up hoses in the Piano side stairway that are being used to remove the old insulation. All three doors that lead to the Piano stairway are closed off for the duration of the project.

The elevator side stairway remains open allowing easy access to the balcony. Click on the photo to learn more about the project.
