Vestry met for its regular monthly meeting on April 15, 2024. After our Vestry President called the meeting to order, Deaconess Deborah opened the meeting in prayer. Vestry approved the minutes for the March 2024 meeting. A new parking lot usage policy was received from the Executive Committee and approved by Vestry. This policy outlines the use of the parking lot by renters along with usage by both community and private events. The policy establishes the priority of use with Trinity events taking precedence over other usage. A revised parking rental agreement will be drafted based upon this new parking lot usage policy.
Vestry also approved an updated Employee Handbook. The Personnel Committee was assiduous in creating this new handbook which presents policy that is consistent and uniform. The new handbook makes changes to paid time off that makes the administration of this benefit more manageable and streamlined. Changes were made to several sections of the handbook, including holidays, family/caregiver leave, short-term disability, military leave, and bereavement leave. Vestry extends our gratitude to the members of the Personnel Committee for their work and dedication to producing this revised Employee Handbook.
Vestry received Deaconess Deborah’s sabbatical plan, which allows for professional development and growth along with spiritual reflection and renewal. Vestry also approved a revised Deacon job description that was generated through the joint effort of Pastor Hans and the personnel committee in discussion with Deaconess Deborah.
